Dear AGLN Fellows,
We are diverse Jewish Henry Crown Fellows reaching out in a time of profound distress. Our backgrounds and perspectives vary, but we all share grave concerns for the immense pain and suffering being experienced by both Palestinians and Israelis, as well as by Muslims, Arabs, and Jews across the diaspora. We feel this suffering can only end through the courageous leadership and imagination to which we were called through our Aspen Fellowships.
Please read our Open Letter inviting Fellows across the AGLN into a series of conversations around a DRAFT Statement of Shared Beliefs about Israel-Palestine. A link to the DRAFT Statement of Shared Beliefs is in the Open Letter. We offer this Statement as a 'good enough' work in process framework for coming together across the Aspen community. We invite members of the Aspen community of all identities to engage with this DRAFT Statement; first asynchronously, sharing what resonates and what can be improved, and then in a virtual conversation prior to and then in person at the Resnick Aspen Action Forum in July to further our mutual understanding and explore potential collective action with these shared beliefs as the foundation. Below is a registration link to join the virtual call.
