Moving Truth and Reconciliation Work Forward
Recent events in the United States and around the world have demonstrated that now, more than ever, Truth and Reconciliation (T&R) efforts are critical to building an inclusive and productive future for our society. If you participated in one of the T&R sessions at the Action Forum or are interested in this work, we are reaching out to ask for your feedback on the ongoing Truth and Reconciliation effort launched by a group of AGLN leaders in 2016. We hope to learn about T&R initiatives that are underway, as well as your interest in getting/staying involved in this Fellow-led effort. Please take 10 minutes to fill out this survey by September 30th so that we can ensure your perspective is included.

The T&R Action Pledge Steering Committee

Background:
Since the 2016 Resnick Aspen Action Forum, a group of leaders affiliated with the Aspen Institute and the Aspen Global Leadership Network have been working behind the scenes to advance an Action Pledge intended to lead to a national process of Truth and Reconciliation in the United States.

We pledge to support a national truth and reconciliation process, initially focused on addressing slavery in the United States, and culminating in an annual day of reconciliation, where diverse groups can come together for dialogue, healing, shared humanity and civic engagement to develop a pathway forward. We recognize that there are truth and reconciliation efforts underway already in the US, and seek to build this work with those who are leading those efforts.
