Program

Fellows must be nominated by a third party and selected by the Aspen Institute to participate in program. Each class will consist of 20-22 Fellows who will participate in four seminars of 5-7 days each under the guidance of the skilled moderators of the Institute. Fellows must commit to attending all 4 seminars in their entirety, for a total of approximately 26 days of seminar meetings. They also must commit to designing and launching a required leadership project of their own design to advance the role of finance in society. The Fellows' participation will be without cost to them or their organizations, with the exception of their travel costs and any incidental expenses they incur. Limited financial assistance may be provided for travel on a case by case basis. Download the FLF Program Description PDF for more information.

THE SEMINARS
  • The Challenge of Leadership focuses on the qualities of leadership necessary to master the forces of change. Fellows discuss their own leadership challenges and develop criteria for effective, enlightened leadership.
  • The Aspen Seminar is the Aspen Institute's foundational seminar. It gives the opportunity to explore the concept of the "good society" and the Fellows' leadership role in making it a reality.
  • Leading in an Era of Globalization explores the challenges of leading in an increasingly complex and intertwined world. Aspen Global Leadership Network Fellows from countries such around the world attend jointly.
  • The Promise of Leadership explores the concepts of legacy and life balance. Fellows share the progress achieved, challenges encountered and lessons learned from their leadership projects.

THE FINANCE LEADERS FELLOWSHIP GLOBAL COMMUNITY
There are now four classes of Finance Leaders Fellows, making a total of 83 Fellows from 19 countries. This Fellowship affirms its commitment to creating a change in the global finance community and encourages a diversity of leadership and thought. Here is a list of all Finance Leaders Fellows by class year.

THE ASPEN GLOBAL LEADERSHIP NETWORK
Finance Leaders Fellows will join nearly 3,000 other Fellows from 50 countries to become members of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN).  The AGLN is composed of accomplished leaders who have participated in similar Aspen Institute leadership initiatives in education, healthcare, and environment as well as regionally in the United States, Africa, Central America, China, India, and the Middle East – all designed to help accomplished leaders, mostly business leaders, move from "success to significance." Fellows engage across Fellowships through the “Leading in an Era of Globalization” seminar, as well as larger annual events like the Resnick Aspen Action Forum.
