Title and Organization:
Alejandra Fonseca is Senior Program Coordinator for the Central America Leadership Initiative. She is a Social Communicator specializing in Public Relations In 2013 she served as Personal Assistant for Mrs. Laura Chinchilla Miranda, first Costa Rican woman to become President of the Republic, as part of her executive staff. Prior to joining the role of assistant to former Mrs. President, she worked as an officer with the Presidential Protocol team during the whole Chinchilla constitutional term (2010-2014). She has specialized in protocol assessment for high-level institutions, as well as planning, organization and execution of high-level events, in both national and international instances. As an executive consultant she has been part of a number of initiatives to promote programs in social, human rights and sustainable nature conservation for different international and regional organisms, including the Protocol Office at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) headquarters in Washington D.C. She has also performed as advisor to women in the political arena. Her expertise and professional passion is facilitating and implementing strategic communications processes at organizations with a purpose. Alejandra earned an International Masters degree in Communication and Public Relations from the EAE Business School in Barcelona. Ale loves music and dancing.
