Title and Organization:
A purpose-driven leader who has created a platform for success across a wide range of focus areas including finance, hospitality, education, humanitarianism and wellness, Jen has spent most of her career working on the principal side of hotel ownership. Most recently she led the asset management group at LaSalle Hotel Properties, a leading multi-operator real estate investment trust with a market capitalization of ~$3.3 billion. In addition to her asset management role, Jen led the financial analyst program and the company’s in-house mindfulness program, which she created as part of Awake Mindfulness, a company Jen founded to enhance well-being, creativity and focus in corporate settings. Prior to joining LaSalle, Jen was the head of hotel asset management at Westbrook Partners, a global real estate private equity firm based in New York City. Jen joined Westbrook from Tishman Hotel & Realty where she served as a Director.
A dedicated education advocate, Jen is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, where she was a member of the Division 1 Women’s Varsity Basketball team. Jen serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at St. Paul’s School for Girls in Baltimore, MD and has embraced the role of teacher by becoming a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor and co-founding a community wellness program to serve the Anacostia neighborhood of Washington DC.
Currently, Jen is working on her “Adult Gap Year”, an effort to synchronize her many business, creative and humanitarian pursuits. One area of focus where Jen is deeply passionate is her involvement with various youth empowerment initiatives in East Africa which are focused on increasing educational opportunities for orphans and street children in rural communities through holistic community development.
