Title and Organization:
Brad Hallberg is a data analytics and special projects consultant with the Network for Computational Nanotechnology at Purdue University. There, he is participating with the National Science Foundation I-Corps team working to increase the number of underrepresented groups included in simulation development and engineering research programs. More than anything, Brad is motivated to help those who have historically lacked access to opportunities. He is fortunate and proud to have worked with like-minded advocates to create a youth training center in Chililabombwe, Zambia. Founded in 2008, the Youth Press and Development Organisation (YPDO) endeavors to reduce poverty and improve educational and economic potential for young people in the Chililabombwe district. YPDO projects include a computer and software training center, physical library, tailoring school, and improved facilities at the local youth futbol club.
