Bio:
Soo Jeon is the program associate of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. In this capacity, Soo works with all 13 Fellowship Programs within AGLN to help build and cultivate an impactful global community of leaders. Soo loves bringing people together. Whether it’s by hosting big gatherings or cooking for an intimate group of friends at home, she enjoys sharing and learning from people around her. Soo was originally born in South Korea and immigrated to the US with her family when she was 5. She received her bachelor’s in International Relations from American University and holds a master’s in Public Policy from Peking University where she wrote her thesis on the rural-urban education gap in China. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, she co-founded two mobile app startups and is still an active leader for Haru, an app that connects people based on their passion and interests. Previously, she has worked for the Johns Hopkins Business Carey Business School, Chinese International Communication Center, Business Roundtable for Education, and American Automotive Policy Council. Soo is a food aficionado and enjoys to figure skate and go on runs during her free time. She’s fluent in English, Korean, and Mandarin.
