Read Coping by Audre Lorde here
It’s been raining. The world, lately, can feel like a puddle. This piece speaks to the collective grief we are enduring in times of crisis, and the varying ways in which we cope. This month, we're sharing Audre Lorde’s poem “Coping”. We offer the following questions to guide your reflection:
- Where do you turn to in times of hardship?
- What are your “islands” in the midst of the puddle?
- As the boy in the garden seeks to free seeds from drowning, what are you doing to find the sun? How can we help our “young seeds” find hope in the world right now?
- How can we grow from this experience together?
