Founded in 2020, The Highland Project (THP) is a visionary initiative centered on building and sustaining a coalition of Black women leaders. This coalition spans across sectors, generations, and cities, all united by a common goal — creating multi-generational wealth in the communities where they live and serve.
Mission and Impact
In just three years, THP has made significant strides, committing $3 million in unrestricted capital to Black women leaders, also known as "Highland Leaders," across the country. This commitment is designed to catalyze thriving Black communities through key focus areas, including educational justice, economic empowerment, well-being, and democracy.
THP's forward-looking vision involves committing $7.5 million to Highland Leaders by 2026. This sustained investment is a testament to THP's dedication to creating and sustaining thriving Black communities through the leadership and initiatives of Black women.
